Monetary Financial Institutions

Monetary Financial Institutions (MFIs) or engl. Monetary Financial Institutions (MFI) is a common term used in banking for credit institutions that accept deposits from the public, offer loans for their own account or invest in securities. A list of all approved MFIs in the euro area is published by the European Central Bank , which is itself a monetary financial institution.
