The Mongolian State University for Agriculture is a state university in the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar and with almost 10,000 students and around 600 academic staff the largest university for agriculture and ranks among the five most important universities in Mongolia. The university emerged as a spin-off from the National University of Mongolia , it has cooperation agreements with 120 partners from 24 countries.
history
When the National University of Mongolia was founded in 1948, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine was also established. This faculty was spun off as an institute for agriculture in 1958 . Through the expansion and integration of schools and experimental farms, the institute was renamed the University of Agriculture in 1990 and finally accredited as the Mongolian State University of Agriculture in 1993.

The university has a 12.4 hectare campus, four institutes, 37 departments and 100 laboratories. There are cooperations with universities in 24 countries, including Belgium, China, Germany, the Netherlands, Canada, Korea, Austria, Poland, Russia, the Czech Republic and Hungary.
