Monika Pagneux

Monika Pagneux (* 1927 in Buckow ) is a German dance and acting teacher.

She went to Paris in 1951 , where she studied with Mary Wigman , Étienne Decroux and Jacques Lecoq . 1963–1979 she taught “Éducation corporelle” ( French : physical education / training ) at the Lecoq school. From 1973 to 1976 she was “movement director” at the Peter Brooks Center International de Recherches Theatrales in Paris. In 1975 she met Moshé Feldenkrais , whose Feldenkrais method she integrated into her work with actors (“Beauty lies in the organic flow of movement”). 1980–1987 she taught with Philippe Gaulier in her own studio in Paris.

Since then she has been working alone, giving workshops on Movement for Actors and Basic Play in Europe, Australia, Japan and, in recent years, in Barcelona and London .

She has lived near Grenoble since 1991 .
