Monika Rühl

Monika Rühl (* 1963 ) has been director of Economiesuisse , the largest umbrella organization for Swiss business , since September 1, 2014 . She is the first woman to head Economiesuisse.

Life

Rühl studied the history of the Italian and French languages ​​and literature in Zurich. She then completed diplomatic training in Bern, Brussels and Geneva. Before joining Economiesuisse, Monika Rühl worked mainly in administration and as a diplomat. Between 1998 and 2002 she was Counselor at the United Nations in New York, and until she took up a position at Economiesuisse she was Secretary General in the Department of Economics, Education and Research.
