Monika Ruff-Handelkes

Monika Ruff-Händelkes (born September 27, 1960 in Munich ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 2005 to 2010 she was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Life

Ruff-Handelkes trained as a medical assistant from 1978 to 1980 and then worked in this profession until 1985. From 1988 to 1990 she was a doctor's secretary and four years later she graduated from a university of applied sciences. From 2000 she studied social management at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences in Mönchengladbach .

Ruff-Händelkes has been a member of the SPD since 1995 and has been deputy chairwoman of the Viersen district association since 2002. She has also been a member of the City Council of Viersen since 1999, where she has been the first deputy mayor since 2004. From 2005 to 2010 she was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia and a full member of the Committee for Building and Transport and the Legal Committee.
