Monika Stocker (born 1950 in Switzerland ) is a Swiss ceramic artist .

life and work

Monika Stocker studied ceramics in Bern and Geneva. Among other things, she was a student of Philippe Lambercy . Monika Stocker is known for her double-walled vases, which emphasize the volume with their glazes . She also experiments with the further processing of turned shapes. She not only creates everyday objects, but also conducts research in the field of ceramics. She heads the ceramic design class at the School of Design in Bern and Biel. This is the only training facility in German-speaking Switzerland where you can obtain a qualification as a ceramist in full-time training.
