Monroe Abbey

Monroe Abbey ( 1904 - November 28, 1993 ) was a Canadian lawyer.

Abbey practiced law in Montreal and specialized in mining law. In addition to his professional activity, he was involved in numerous Jewish organizations in his hometown. Among other things, he was director of the Jewish Immigrant Aid Services, the Zionist Organization of Canada and the United Jewish Refugee and World Relief Agencies. From 1968 to 1971 he was President of the Canadian Jewish Congress .
