The Mons La Hire is an approximately 10 × 20 km large island mountain in the Mare Imbrium on the Earth's moon . It was named in 1961 after the French mathematician and astronomer Gabriel-Philippe de La Hire . The summit is 1.5 km above the ground.

The Dorsum Circle is only a few kilometers to the northeast .
