The Dorsum Circle is a 210 km long, so-called Dorsum in the Mare Imbrium on the Earth's moon . It was named in 1976 after the German geologist and mineralogist Ferdinand Zirkel .
South of the northern foothills of Dorsum Zirkel lies a group of very small craters, which owe their name to their appearance on sheet 40A1 / S1 (Dorsum Zirkel) of NASA's Topophotomap map series. These designations were adopted by the IAU in 1976 .
