Jewish cemetery in Hattingen

The Hattingen Jewish cemetery is located on Am Vinckenbrink Street in Hattingen . The 62 gravestones in the cemetery date from 1894 to 1940. The last burial took place in 1981.

During the period from 1819 to 1905, the former cemetery in Bismarckstrasse served the Jewish community as a burial place for its deceased members. As a result of the widening of Bismarckstrasse, in 1907 the beds were moved to the new cemetery. The older burial site is now a green area.
