Herdecke Jewish cemetery
The Herdecke Jewish cemetery is located in the town of Herdecke in the Ennepe-Ruhr district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The Jewish cemetery on Zeppelinstrasse in the southeastern part of the municipal cemetery was probably occupied from 1895 to 1938. 16 tombstones have been preserved. There are also 23 graves of Russian forced laborers from the time of World War II in the cemetery .
Old Jewish Cemetery
There are no more gravestones in the old Jewish cemetery between Ladestrasse and Bahnhofstrasse (Wienberg cemetery), which was occupied in the 19th century until 1895. In 2014 a memorial plaque was erected there in memory of the Jewish citizens persecuted and murdered in the Third Reich .
