The Monte Guglielmo (dialect: Gölem ) is a mountain in Lombardy in northern Italy near Lake Iseo at 1957 meters above sea level . It is located in the pre-Alps of Brescia.
A chapel consecrated to Christ stands on the summit and next to it is the larger than life bronze statue of Pope Paul VI. From here there is a good view of Lake Iseo and the Ortler group .
Even less experienced mountaineers can easily climb the mountain from Croce di Marone ( 1161 m ) in around 2.5 hours. It can be accessed via Zone ( 664 m ) or from Marone ( 1181 m ). There are easily accessible and signposted paths to the summit. All paths can be ridden by mountain bike, but only recommended for well-trained cyclists. All paths are to be prepared with mountain-experienced horses.
