Monumenta Serica (Chinese Huayi xuezhi 華裔 學 志, English subtitle: Journal of Oriental Studies) is an international scientific journal of Sinology . It is published by the Institut Monumenta Serica in Sankt Augustin . The editor-in-chief was Roman Malek until the end of 2012 and is currently Zbigniew Wesołowski . The institute is supported by the German Province of the Steyler Missionaries.

The magazine was founded in 1935 at the Catholic Fu Jen University in Beijing by the Steyler China missionary and sinologist Franz Xaver Biallas (1878-1936). She publishes scientific articles and reviews by sinologists around the world. In doing so, she sets few thematic or historical restrictions in order to reflect the whole diversity of Asian cultures. The core topics include archeology, history, religion, philosophy, art and literature in China and neighboring countries in East and Central Asia. The articles are mainly in English, but also in German and French. The magazine has been published every six months (printed and digital) since 2015.
