The Moreton Bay Pile Light was a beacon in the mouth of Moreton Bay in the Australian state of Queensland .

history

The beacon, which was erected on stilts in 1884, was damaged by a ship in 1945 and almost completely destroyed in another collision in 1949. In 1952 the lighthouse was automatically put back into operation. In the years 1966–1967 the lighthouse was dismantled.
