The Mori Art Museum ( Japanese 森 美術館 , Mori bijutsukan ) in Tokyo, English: "Mori Art Museum", MAM ( マ ム ) for short , exhibits modern Japanese and international art, but does not have its own collection.

Overview

The museum is located on the 53rd floor of the Mori Tower , in the center of the " Roppongi Hills", 250 m above sea level. The museum was founded by Minoru Mori , the president of the Mori real estate company. The museum was opened in October 2003, the first director was the Englishman David Elliot, who thus became the first foreigner in such a position in Japan.
