Moselsürscher Fahrberg

The Moselsürscher Fahrberg is the only vineyard in the district of Lehmen an der Untermosel (Terrassenmosel) located on the Maifeld . It lies between the Lehmener Ausoniusstein and the Katteneser Fahrberg . The name of the location indicates a ford, ferry or crossing point over the Moselle . It is a terraced steep slope on a shallow, stony slate quartzite weathered soil (100% steep). The total area is ~ 2 ha. Only about 0.5 ha are cultivated.

The slope is up to 70%, towards the east (80 to 150  m above sea  level ). Grape varieties: Riesling and Pinot Noir.
