Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering

The Moscow Institute for Thermal Engineering ( MIT ; Russian Московский институт теплотехники ) is a Russian (formerly Soviet ) research institute and design office. It was founded on May 23, 1946.

MIT was and is the most important research center for solid-propelled missiles in the Soviet Union and the Russian Federation. Most of the solid-propelled ballistic missiles, such as the Topol-M series, come from this research facility.
