- Hirl was the parish priest in Vilsbiburg. He was awarded honorary citizenship as a thank you for the many sacrifices he made to the city of Vilsbiburg during his tenure. He made it possible for many local and displaced families to be given apartments in today's beneficiary settlement, thus ensuring jobs. He earned further great merits with his efforts to build school buildings.

- Nord was a member of the city council from 1960 to 2002, from 1966 to 1990 3rd mayor and from 1990 to 1996 2nd mayor of the city. In addition, he was chairman of the Vilsbiburg Transport and Improvement Association for ten years. He was made an honorary citizen for his decades of voluntary work.

Lambert Grasmann

- Grasmann has been director of the local history museum since 1971. The museum, which had fallen into disrepair at the beginning of the 1970s, has become a modern facility that makes the culture of the Vilsbiburg region understandable in a contemporary form, shows connections and presents the people of the present with experiences from the past. He was made an honorary citizen for his decades of voluntary work.
