criticism

In Siliana ( Tunisia ), Dräxlmaier produces cable harnesses for premium classes in the German automotive industry. The 3,000 employees (mostly young women) there receive a monthly wage of only 125 euros.

In the documentation "Profit at any price - market without morals", which was awarded the Otto Brenner Prize , Ingolf Gritschneder shows the struggle of the workforce of the HIB company in Böblingen for jobs at their location. Without informing the employees or the works council, the Dräxlmaier Group dismantled the machines and operating devices at the site over a long weekend. They accepted an administrative offense in order to be able to dismiss the workforce at the site outside of the dismissal protection. Although the wages of the workforce continued to be paid without any work done, there was no contact between the management of the Dräxlmaier Group and the workforce at the Böblingen location for several months.
