Motoi Yamamoto ( Japanese 山 本 基 , Yamamoto Motoi ; * 1966 in Onomichi , Hiroshima Prefecture , Japan ) is a Japanese artist .

Motoi Yamamoto works with salt as an expression of his art. He creates fictional spaces, surfaces and labyrinths from salt. The labyrinth , one of his main themes, plays an important role in this.
