Engine pad

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Motor pads are washers made of solid material or laminated metal sheets . They are used to adapt the motor with its drive shaft to the following drive train assemblies. The height compensation can easily be achieved by the manual adjustment process on site.

variants

There are different versions of engine pads.

  • Laminated: Standard dimensions of DIN 42673 and according to individual specifications
  • Solid: standard dimensions of DIN 42673 and according to individual specifications
  • Bundled: various solid engine pads
  • Packaged: Motor support plates bonded to one workpiece edge

Demarcation

The motor supports mentioned here level according to the principle of adding or subtracting sheet metal thicknesses. This principle is used for ball bearing spacers and other intermediate layers. There are no adjustable or controllable setting systems that work through spindles or other active media.

Production type

The types of production differ greatly depending on the material and batch size for a product. In general:

  • Individual punching tools are used for larger batch sizes.
  • In the case of smaller quantities, optimized tool combinations are used, some of which can be completely non-product-specific.

operation area

The main areas of application are assembly and maintenance. You can plan the engine documents constructively in advance.

Handling - handling

The handling depends on the type of engine documentation. The specific instructions for use must be observed.
