Motovun Film Festival

The Motovun Film Festival is an international film festival in the Croatian city ​​of Motovun .

The small festival, which is held exclusively in open-air cinemas, takes place in the summer months for a period of five days. The first festival in 1999 coincided with the August 11, 1999 solar eclipse .

Since 2000, the Propeller of Motovun has been awarded as the main prize of an international competition and the Motovun Online short film prize . The international film critics association FIPRESCI has been awarding a film with the FIPRESCI Prize in Motovun since 2001 . Since 2003 there has been the From A to A award for the best film from the region ( From Albania to Austria ).

The Motovun Film School has been offering seminars for film students following the film festival since 2003.
