The Mount Galíndez is a mountain on Deception Iceland in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises in the southeast of the island.
The name is said to go back to Russian scientists. More likely, however, is a naming by Argentine scientists after Ismael F. Galíndez (1871-1918), leader of the Argentine expedition to Laurie Island (1904-1905) to build the Orcadas station .
