Mount Pleasant is a district of Wollongong , New South Wales , Australia on the western edge of the city on the Southern Freeway between Sydney and Wollongong. It has 1370 inhabitants (as of 2016).
history
John Dingwall owned land in what is now Mount Pleasant and named it today. The current town of Mount Pleasant developed after the opening of the Mount Pleasant Mine in 1861.
