The Mount Pleasant Radio Observatory is an astronomical research facility at the University of Tasmania in Australia for radio astronomy .

It is located about 20 kilometers east of Tasmania's capital , Hobart , at a height of 42 meters and houses two radio telescopes , the “Mount Pleasant Antenna” with a diameter of 26 meters and the “Vela Antenna” with a diameter of 14 meters. Both also belong to Australia's Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) network.
