Mouvement des progressistes (MdP for short) is a political movement and party in France . It is headed by Robert Hue , who was a member of the Parti communiste français before the MdP was founded .
Alignment
The party represents left and social positions. These include features from social democracy and democratic socialism. In addition, progressivism is anchored in the party. The MdP also pursues ecological and humanistic goals.
organization
At the party congress on July 1, 2017, the party was massively restructured. The office of chairman, which Robert Hue held since the founding of the party, was abolished and replaced by a 35-member national committee that would lead the party from that point on. Members of this committee are Robert Hue as founding chairman, as well as a national secretary, a treasurer, three press officers and 29 other members.
The exact number of members of the National Committee has not been determined, two members, including a spokesman, left it on July 12, 2017.
