Mouvements unis de la Resistance

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mouvements unis de la Résistance (MUR, German United Resistance Movements ) was an organization of the French Resistance , which emerged in January 1943 from the union of three large resistance groups ( Combat , Franc-Tireur and Liberation Sud ) and the union of the military organizations of these Movements within the Armée Secrète . The management committee of the MUR was chaired by Jean Moulin until his death in July 1943.

The three groups later merged with five other Resistance movements to form the Conseil national de la Resistance .
