Moving lights

Moving head and two scanners

Moving lights is a collective term for devices in lighting technology that can position the light beam in different directions. This movement is generated by a motor.

In the case of scanners, this is done using a movable mirror; in the case of moving heads , the entire projection head is moved.

Scanners have the advantage of being able to position the light beam more quickly (because of the low mass of the mirror), while moving heads have a larger radius of action.
