Mse TV ( Georgian მზე ; German sun TV ) is a Georgian private broadcaster . Its seat is in Tbilisi . Since 2005 it has mainly devoted itself to sports and entertainment, has only one news format.

The station was founded in April 2003. It can be received above all in Tbilisi and its suburbs via antenna and cable, and initially tried to cover all editorial sections. In 2005 he changed his profile. Political editors were fired. The popular political talk show Archewanis Sgwarse (dt. In 2004 the cement manufacturer David Beschuashvili, a brother of the Georgian Foreign Minister, acquired 50% of the shares, while Chartishvili kept 50%. In 2005, Beschuashvili became the sole owner. On January 4, 2006, he sold 78% of the Mse shares to the majority owner of the TV station Rustavi 2 , Kibar Chalwaschi.

In the summer of 2006, Beschuaschwili sold his stake to Georgia's Industrial Group (GIG), Chalwaschi to GeoTrans . Mse TV, together with the television broadcaster Rustavi 2, now owns 45% of the GIG. The remaining shares are in the hands of the GeoMedia Group , whose headquarters are in the Marshall Islands . It is not publicly known who is behind the company.
