Muhammad Jihad al-Lahham ( Arabic محمد جهاد اللحام, DMG Muḥammad Ǧihād al-Laḥḥām , born January 13, 1954 in Damascus ) is the President of the Syrian Parliament. A well-known criminal defense attorney, Laham heads the office of the Syrian Lawyers' Union in the capital Damascus. He is a member of the Syrian Ba'ath Party .

In the parliamentary elections on May 7, 2012 , Muhammad Jihad al-Lahham was elected as a member of the People's Council from Damascus . On May 24, the People's Council elected Laham as Speaker of Parliament with 225 out of 250 votes.
