The Mukura Victory Sports et Loisirs Football Club , often abbreviated as Mukura Victory Sports or Mukura , is a Rwandan football club from Butare in the south of the country.
history
The club, founded in 1963, has developed into a constant in the National Football League , Rwanda's top division, throughout its history . While the championship there was shaped in particular by the clubs from the capital Kigali , the team won the title of Rwandan cup winner several times . It was successful for the first time in 1978 with a final victory over Rayon Sports , followed by further titles in 1986, 1990 and 1992. The first participation in an international competition, the African Cup Winners' Cup , took place in 1982 without a previous title win. Here, however, they were eliminated in the first round, as well as in the previous continental competitions.
Mukura Victory Sport plays its home games at Stade Huye , which has a capacity of around 15,000 spectators.
