history
After Avraham Bachri had made a door lock for his neighbor in 1972, he and Moshe Doley designed a multi-point lock for increased door security in 1973. Following the success of their first product, the two founded the Ray-Bariach company in 1973 .
The company expanded and specialized its product line until 1982 in security cylinders, locks and accessories, steel doors and car protection products. This product branch was renamed Mul-T-Lock in 1985, whereby the Ray-Bariach company continued to exist as a manufacturer of security doors and windows under the same logo. The Mul-T-Lock company has also become internationally known through numerous patents for various locks and lock systems.
In addition, Mul-T-Lock began manufacturing automatic key cutting machines and assembly equipment, which enabled locksmiths to manufacture complex key systems.
In February 2000, Mul-T-Lock was taken over by Assa Abloy . In 2006 Assa Abloy added the Chubb Locks brand to the Mul-T-Lock group. The company's headquarters were originally located in the Barkan settlement of the West Bank region , but in 2012 it was relocated to the city of Jawne (Israel) due to international pressure .
