Mulanbei Reservoir

The Mulanbei Reservoir or Mulanbei hydraulic engineering project ( Chinese  木兰 陂 , Pinyin Mùlán bēi  - "Mulan Reservoir", English Mulanbei Reservoir / Mulan irrigation system ), located in the central district of Chengxiang of the prefecture -level city of Putian in the Chinese province of Fujian , was during the Built by the Northern Song Dynasty between 1064 and 1083. The Mulanbei Reservoir is a large multifunctional hydraulic engineering project designed for water diversion (yin 引), storage (xu 蓄), irrigation (guan 灌), flood drainage (pai 排), and tide protection (dang 擋). Its main part is a dam that dams the Mulan Xi ( 木兰溪  - "Magnolia stream ").

Since 1988, the Mulanbei Reservoir has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China in Fujian (3-56).
