Trough (unit)

Mulde , or Jale , was a measure of volume in France .

In France, both names refer to a wooden trough with a volume of 3.75 liters . The name Mulde was used by winemakers as a unit of measurement for wine or grapes, but was also used for other liquids. The term jale was used when measuring flour.
