Multi-rater feedback is the collective term for the various forms of self-assessment and external assessment in the context of personnel development in companies. This method was first developed by the Wehrmacht (see 360-degree feedback ) and partly in social science methodology and has now been established as the principle of multiple perspectives (“truth in the plural”) in the canon of management diagnostics .

In the area of human resources , rating procedures are used, for example, to assess performance that cannot be assessed using a test. For this purpose, the employees evaluate themselves and are also evaluated by others.
