Multi Router Traffic Grapher ( MRTG ) is a program for the graphic evaluation or display of measured values, originally developed for measuring network traffic (traffic). MRTG generates HTML pages with the graphics that contain the graphic evaluations. SNMP is used to collect the data . Wrote the software in Perl and some C . The software is freely available under the GNU GPL .
MRTG is now used to visualize a wide range of data: from the temperature in the server room to the number of incoming spam mails per day.
