Multi-timbrality

As timbral is called an electronic musical instrument (for example, a keyboard ), which is able to produce several different sounds at the same time and outputting played mixed (eg. An organ sound simultaneously with a string sound).

In contrast to polyphony , it is not only possible to produce two different tones, but also two different timbres . The term multitimbrality is made up of multi (Latin for a lot ) and timbre (French for tone color ).
