The Mundo , also Moendo or Parang Sadeueb called, is a tool and a ceremonial weapon from Sumatra.
description
The Mundo has a protruding, unusually shaped, single-edged blade. The blade widens from the handle to the location and runs in an S-shape. The back of the blade is slightly undulating and near the location worked out into a protrusion that is blunt and curled at the end. This protrusion continues to the place and is bent like a hook there. After the booklet, the cutting edge is slightly wavy and continues to be bulbous to the place. The booklet is made simple and is usually made of wood or horn . The mundo is used as a tool by women for clearing fields and similar work. It is also used as a ceremonial weapon by women at weddings , similar to the Luju Celico for men. The mundo is used by ethnic groups in Java.
