The Murad Gate ( Azerbaijani Murad qapıları ) is the East Gate of the Palace of the Shirvanshahs in the city of Baku , which for 2000 World Heritage of UNESCO was appointed. The gate was erected in 1585 and in honor of Sultan Murad III. named. In contrast to other gates of the early type, the inscription in the upper part only takes up the middle part of the portal niche and is bordered by plant patterns.
