Muriel Catala

Muriel Michelle Martine Catala (born July 20, 1952 in Paris ) is a French actress .

Life

Muriel Catala grew up in Nice and returned to Paris on her own at the age of 16 to become an actress. She promptly got the lead role in 1969 in the film Le sauveur, set at the time of the Second World War, alongside Horst Buchholz . She was awarded the Révélation 71 young talent award for her acting performance .

Afterwards she was seen in various films in which she took on typical Lolita roles, mostly as a dreamy or seductive girl next door like in Faustine et le bel été or in Are you interested in the matter? , sometimes as a prostitute as in The Judgment (with Jean Gabin and Sophia Loren ) and in The Antiques Hunter (with Alain Delon ). At the beginning of the 80s she finished her film and television work and retired to Nice.
