The Murray Hill is the highest point of the Christmas Island in the Indian Ocean . It is located in the west of the island and rises 361 meters above sea level. The island has been part of Australia since 1958 .
Murray Hill summit was first reached in 1887 by members of the crew of HMS Egeria .
