The Canadian Railway Museum ( English : Canadian Railway Museum ), today Exporail is a railway museum in Delson and Saint-Constant near Montreal , which with about 140 copies the largest collection of railway and tramway vehicles in Canada is home. In addition, the museum owns more than 250,000 objects and documents.

Some of the locomotives on display:

  • CPR No. 144: the oldest surviving Canadian locomotive
  • CPR No. 2850 : one of the locomotives that drove the court train when King George VI visited. moved in 1939
  • CPR No. 5935: the largest steam locomotive built in Canada with a 2-10-4 wheel arrangement ( Selkirk )
  • CN No. 4100: the most powerful Canadian steam locomotive
  • LNER-Class A4 No. 4489: The Dominion of Canada , one of the remaining six British LNER-Class A4 express locomotives . This locomotive went back to England in 2013, was refurbished and exhibited in the museum in York in 2014 with 3 other A4s.

Some vehicles operate on the museum grounds and every Sunday a train runs the short distance to Montée des Bouleaux .
