The levator anguli oculi medialis muscle ( Latin for "lifter of the inner corner of the eye") is a skeletal muscle of the head. It arises in the area of ​​the frontal bone and extends rostrolaterally to the nasal (nasal) area of ​​the upper eyelid . It lifts the central part of the upper eyelid. The muscle is innervated by the ramus zygomaticus of the facial nerve (VII. Cranial nerve ) .
