The obturator internus muscle ( lat. For "internal obstruction muscle ", also "internal hip hole muscle") is one of the hip muscles of the thigh . In animal anatomy, the term obturatorius internus , which was previously used in humans, is still valid. In Paarhufern the muscle is not formed.
The obturator (ius) internus muscle turns the thigh outwards.
