The Museu do Carro Eléctrico is located directly on the banks of the Douro .

Museu do Carro Eléctrico is the tram museum of the Portuguese city ​​of Porto .

It is located in the headquarters of the historic Massarelos power station . Founded by the Sociedade de Transportes Colectivos do Porto (STCP), the museum was inaugurated in May 1992. The aim is to get a large number of tram vehicles .

The Tram Museum operates three museum lines for regular passenger service and one tourist line. However, cultural events also take place in the Tram Museum.

A spacious hall offers space for the exhibits, which come from all epochs of the tram. In addition to a horse-drawn tram car, the museum also shows the 500 railcar , the last vehicle built for the Porto tram. An O bus from the former O bus company Porto and the substation complete the exhibition.
