The Museum of the 50s is a publicly displayed collection of everyday objects from the 1950s in Bremerhaven .

The objects have been collected as part of a museum project since 1984 by the historian and psychologist Kerstin von Freytag Löringhoff . These were first opened to the public as a closed collection in 2000 in Cuxhaven ; Since 2005 it has been presented in a military church on the former Carl Schurz barracks of the US Army in Bremerhaven. Several thousand exhibits document the living conditions from 1949 to 1963 on 500 m².
