Music Information Center Austria

The mica - music information center austria was founded on the initiative of the Republic of Austria in 1994 as an independent, non-profit association .

Club goals are

• the provision of information about the musical life of Austria as well as research in the field of contemporary music
• the support of contemporary musicians living in Austria through advice and information
• the dissemination of domestic music through promotion at home and abroad
• the improvement of the framework conditions for making music in Austria

Memberships

The mica is a member of the following organizations

• European Music Office (EMO)
• International Association of Music Information Centers (IAMIC)
• International Association of Music Libraries, Music Archives and Music Documentation Centers and the
• International Music Council
