Music color

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Musical color is a media term that has been used since the early 1990s.

In radio , it describes a time-limited style of music (e.g. rock music from the 1970s), "to which a target group ascribes a homogeneous compatibility and affinity, that is to say, in marketing theory, a music cluster".

The music color is thus a central, calculable element for format radios . With these channels, not only the music, but the entire program is “formatted”. The moderator adapts to the style of music presented in terms of voice, choice of words and topics.
