Heinz Allenspach

Heinz Allenspach (born February 22, 1928 in St. Gallen , resident in Kreuzlingen and Fällanden ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ).

education and profession

Allenspach graduated from the literary high school in St. Gallen from 1943 to 1946 and later studied economics at the St. Gallen commercial college . As early as 1950 he graduated with a licentiate (lic. Oec.). From 1950 to 1956 he was a research associate at the Swiss Institute for Foreign Trade and Market Research. From 1960 he worked for the Central Association of Swiss Employers' Organizations in Zurich , first as secretary and editor of the Swiss Employer Newspaper (1960–1969), then as director (1970–1993) and since 1977 as a delegate.

Political career

From 1956 to 1960 he took an active part in politics for the first time in the secretariat of the FDP in the canton of St. Gallen . In 1974 he was elected to the local council of Fällanden and had a seat there until 1986. From 1975 to 1980 he was a Cantonal Councilor in the Canton of Zurich and from 1979 to 1995 in the National Council .

As a member of several supervisory committees of federal social insurance institutions and the supervisory board of Rentenanstalt , he is regarded as an employer expert in social insurance . Allenspach was mainly involved in economic and educational policy .

Private

Allenspach was a lieutenant colonel in the Swiss Army . He is married and lives in Schwerzenbach .
