The Baia Mare Ethnographic and Folklore Museum ( Romanian Muzeul de Etnografie și Artă Populară Baia Mare ) is an open-air ethnographic museum in Baia Mare , Maramureș , Romania .

The origins of the museum go back to a museum association founded in 1899, whose members collected the first exhibits of today's museum. The museum consists of a museum pavilion opened in 1978 and a museum village opened in 1984. The 500 m² pavilion houses exhibits on nature, hunting, fishing, blacksmithing, ceramics, carpentry as well as technical equipment and religious objects from the historical areas: the historical Maramureșul, Chioar, Lăpuș and Codru. In the open-air part of the museum, several courtyards from the second half of the 18th and the beginning of the 19th century were built around a church built around 1630 and transferred here in 1949.
